Cibisatamab (CEA-TCB) is T cell bispecific antibody that binds to carcinoembryonic antigen (CEA) on cancer cells and CD3 on T cells.
Cibisatamab has one single CD3 epsilon chain binding site and two CEA binding sites on T cells (which regulates the binding affinity to cancer cells with high expression of CEA on the cell surface).
This avoids targeting healthy epithelial cells with low CEA expression levels.
T cell activation is triggered by binding to CEA on the surface of cancer cells and CD3 on T cells, cytokine secretion and release of cytotoxic particles.
