Induces apoptosis in tumorigenic and transformed cell lines, involved in T cell mediated cytotoxicity, TRAIL ligand of cognate receptors induces NF-kappa-B signaling in a variety of cell types.
TRAIL is a 30kD protein known as TNF-related apoptosis inducing ligand, CD253, TNFSF10, or Apo-2L.
It can be expressed as a cell surface (30kD) and soluble ligand (19-20kD) produced by megakaryocytes and platelets, monocytes, neutrophils, NK cells and activated T cells.
This antigen is also expressed on tumor cells and transformed cell lines.
TRAIL has been reported to induce apoptosis in tumor and transformed cell lines by a caspase-dependent process.
Applications:
Suitable for use in Flow Cytometry.
Other applications have not been tested.
Recommended Dilutions:Flow Cytometry: ≤ 1ug/ml/10e6 cells in 100ul Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Storage and Stability:May be stored at 4℃ for short-term only.
Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing.
Store at -20℃.
Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt.
For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
