Nucleolin (identical to human DNA helicase IV) is an abundant, non-ribosomal protein of the nucleolus involved in the organization of nuclear chromatin, rDNA transcription, packaging of pre-RNA, ribosome assembly, nucleocytoplasmic transport, cytokinesis, nucleogenesis, and apoptosis.
A predominantly nuclear protein, the presence of nucleolin at the surface of cancer cells suggests that it could be valuable as a marker for the diagnosis of cancer.
Applications:Suitable for use in Western Blot, Immunoprecipitation, immunohistochemistry, Immunocytochemistry and Flow Cytometry.
Other applications not tested.
Recommended Dilutions:Western Blot (ECL): 1ug/mlImmunohistochemistry: 1-10ug/ml Immunocytochemistry: 1-10ug/mlFlow Cytometry: 5-10ug/mlOptimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Storage and Stability:May be stored at 4℃ for short-term only.
Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing.
Store at -20℃.
Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt.
For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
