CD51 (integrin αV subunit) associates with CD61 (integrin beta3 subunit) binding to the RGD sequence in extracellular matrix proteins like vitronectin, fibrinogen, thrombospondin, von Willebrand factor and osteopontin.
The alphaV/beta3 heterodimer is expressed in endothelial cells, leukocytes, NK cells, macrophages, neutrophils, platelets and several malignant tumor cells and seems to play a role in embryo implantation, angiogenesis, wound healing and cancer.
alphaV/beta3 is also highly expressed in osteoclasts being important for bone resorption.
Applications:Suitable for use in Functional Applications, Immunofluorescence, Flow Cytometry, ELISA, Immunoprecipitation and Immunohistochemistry.
Other applications not tested.
Recommended Dilution:Functional Applications: αV integrin blockingOptimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Storage and Stability:May be stored at 4℃ for short-term only.
Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing.
Store at -20℃.
Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt.
For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
