Human CD81 is a member of the tetraspan family of leukocyte cell surface molecules which are involved in signal transduction, cell-cell adhesion, and cellular activation.
Association of CD81 with integrins appears to be functionally important in the regulation of cell adhesion and activation.
Recent work with CD81-null mice indicates CD81 is important for development of humoral immune response.
Applications:Suitable for use in Flow Cytometry, Immunocytochemistry and Western Blot.
Other applications not tested.
Recommended Dilutions:Flow Cytometry: 5ug/ml labels 5x10e5 human Raji cellsOptimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Flow Cytometry Protocol:1.
Five x 10e5 cultured human Raji cells were washed and incubated 45 minutes on ice with 80ul of C2433-10A at a concentration of 5ug/ml.
2.
Cells were washed twice and incubated with IgG (FITC) Goat anti-Mouse, after which they were washed three times, fixed and analyzed using a FACS
3.
Cells stained positive with a mean shift of 1.74 log10 fluorescent units when compared to a Mouse IgG1 negative control at a similar concentration.
Storage and Stability:Store product at 4℃ if to be used immediately within two weeks.
For long-term storage, aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing and store at -20℃.
Aliquots are stable at -20℃ for 12 months after receipt.
Dilute required amount only prior to immediate use.
Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
Note: Sodium azide is a potent inhibitor of peroxidase and should not be added to HRP conjugates.
For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
