Produced by T-cells in response to antigenic or mitogenic stimulation, this protein is required for T-cell proliferation and other activities crucial to regulation of the immune response.
Can stimulate B-cells, monocytes, lymphokine-activated killer cells, natural killer cells, and glioma cells.
Applications:Suitable for use in ELISA and Western Blot.
Other applications not tested.
Recommended Dilution:ELISA: In a sandwich ELISA (assuming 100ul/well), a concentration of 4-8ug/ml of this antibody will detect at least 32pg/ml of recombinant murine IL-2 when used with biotinylated antigen affinity purified anti-murine IL-2 as the detection antibody at a concentration of at least 1-2ug/ml
Western Blot: To detect mIL-2 by Western Blot analysis this antibody can be used at a concentration of 2-4ug/ml.
Used in conjunction with compatible secondary reagents the detection limit for recombinant mIL-2 is 1-2ng/lane, under reducing conditions and 0.2-0.4ng/lane, under non-reducing conditions
Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Storage and Stability:Store product at 4℃ if to be used immediately within two weeks.
For long-term storage, aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing and store at -20℃.
Aliquots are stable at -20℃ for 12 months after receipt.
Dilute required amount only prior to immediate use.
Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
Note: Applications are based on unconjugated antibody.
