Produced by T-cells in response to antigenic or mitogenic stimulation, this protein is required for T-cell proliferation and other activities crucial to regulation of the immune response.
Can stimulate B-cells, monocytes, lymphokine-activated killer cells, natural killer cells, and glioma cells.
Applications:Suitable for use in ELISA and Western Blot.
Other applications not tested.
Recommended Dilution:ELISA: In a sandwich ELISA (assuming 100ul/well), a concentration of 4-8ug/ml of this antibody will detect at least 1000pg/ml of recombinant rat IL-2 when used with biotinylated antigen affinity purified anti-rat IL-2 as the detection antibody at a concentration of at least 2-4ug/ml
Western Blot: To detect rat IL-2 by Western Blot analysis this antibody can be used at a concentration of 0.25-0.5ug/ml.
When used in conjunction with compatible secondary reagents the detection limit for recombinant rat IL-2 is 2-4ng/lane, under reducing or non-reducing conditions
Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Storage and Stability:Lyophilized and reconstituted products are stable for 12 months after receipt at -20℃.
Reconstitute with sterile PBS.
Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing.
Store at -20℃.
For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
