Produced by lymphocytes activated by specific antigens or mitogens.
IFN-gamma, in addition to having antiviral activity, has important immunoregulatory functions.
It is a potent activator of macrophages, it has antiproliferative effects on transformed cells and it can potentiate the antiviral and antitumor effects of the type I interferons.
Applications:Suitable for use in ELISA and Western Blot.
Other applications not tested.
Recommended Dilution:ELISA: In a sandwich ELISA (assuming 100ul/well), a concentration of 4-8ug/ml of this antibody will detect at least 500pg/ml of recombinant human IFN-gamma when used with biotinylated antigen affinity purified anti-human IFN-gamma as the detection antibody at a concentration of approximately 2-4ug/ml
Western Blot: To detect Human IFN-gamma by Western Blot analysis this antibody can be used at a concentration of 0.20-0.40ug/ml.
When used in conjunction with compatible secondary reagents, the detection limit for recombinant Human IFN-gamma is 1-3ng/lane, under non-reducing conditions
Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Storage and Stability:Lyophilized and reconstituted products are stable for 12 months after receipt at -20℃.
Reconstitute with sterile ddH2O.
Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing.
Store at -20℃.
For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
