特徴

• Collagen IV is a major constituent of the basement membranes along with laminins, proteoglycans and enactins.
• It is a multimeric protein composed of 3 alpha subunits.
• These subunits are encoded by 6 different genes, alpha 1 through alpha 6, each of which can form a triple helix structure with 2 other subunits to form type IV collagen.
• It can form insoluble fibers with high tensile strength.
• Collagen IV is useful in detecting the loss of parts of basement membranes in carcinomas.
• Applications:Suitable for use in Immunohistochemistry.
• Other applications not tested.
• Recommended Dilution:Immunohistochemistry (formalin fixed paraffin embedded): 1:25-1:50; The epitope recognized may be sensitive to routine formalin fixation and paraffin embedding.
• In testing of acetone-fixed frozen sections, strong staining of connective tissue fibers is seen
• Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
• Storage and Stability:May be stored at 4℃ for short-term only.
• Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing.
• Store at -20℃.
• Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt.
• For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
