CD36 is an 85kD integral membrane glycoprotein, also known as GPIIIb, or GPIV.
It is expressed on various epithelial and endothelial cells as well as erythrocytes, platelets, macrophages/monocytes and some macrophage-derived dendritic cells.
CD36 functions as a scavenger receptor, binding thrombospondin, long chain fatty acids, oxidized LDL, collagen type I, IV, and V as well as apoptotic cells.
Applications:Suitable for use in Flow Cytometry and Immunohistochemistry.
Other applications not tested.
Recommended Dilutions:Flow Cytometry: ≤1ug/10e6 cells in 100ul volumeImmunohistochemistry: frozenOptimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Storage and Stability:May be stored at 4℃ for short-term only.
Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing.
Store at -20℃.
Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt.
For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
