It is important for the overall degradation of proteins in lysosomes.
Cathepsin L substrates include collagen, elastin and alpha 1 protease inhibitor.
The protein is initially expressed as procathepsin L (42kD) and is proteolytically processed into 30kD and 21kD forms.
This antibody recognizes both precursor and mature forms.
Applications:
Suitable for use in Immunohistochemistry and Western Blot .
Other applications not tested.
Recommended Dilution:Western Blot: 2ug/mlImmunohistochemistry (formalin/acetone fixed tissues): 4ug/mlOptimal dilution determined by the researcher.
Storage and Stability:Lyophilized and reconstituted products are stable for 12 months after receipt at -20℃.
Reconstitute with sterile PBS.
Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing.
Store at -20℃.
For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
