Perforin is a 70kD cytolytic protein with structural and functional similarities to complement component 9 (C9).
It is stored in cytoplasmic granules of cytotoxic T cells and NK cells and after its release it forms transmembrane pores in the target cells to kill it.
As perforin is a key effector molecule for cell-mediated cytolysis, defects of its gene can cause severe disorders.
Applications:Suitable for use in Immunoprecipitation, Flow Cytometry, Immunohistochemistry and Immunocytochemistry.
Other applications not tested.
Recommended Dilutions:Flow Cytometry: 3-12ug/ml using intracellular staining
Immunohistochemistry: frozen and paraffin sectionsOptimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Storage and Stability:May be stored at 4℃ for short-term only.
Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing.
Store at -20℃.
Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt.
For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
