概要：RAW264.7 cells are a semi-adherent macrophage-like cell line derived from BALB/c mice, transformed by the Abelson leukemia virus.
These cells are commonly used as a model of mouse macrophages for the study of cellular responses to microbes and their products.
The popularity of this cell line is due to its fast proliferation and easy handling.
This cell line has a doubling time of 11 to 30 hours.
The maintenance phase of RAW264.7 cells begins when they are attached to the surface of the culture dish, which usually takes about 24 hours.
The growth media should be refreshed every 2-3 days but no more than 4 days.
The size of RAW264.7 cells is typically 10-20 microm in diameter.
RAW264.7 M0 macrophages can be polarized into M1 or M2 macrophages.
Additionally, RAW264.7 cells possess the ability to perform pinocytosis and phagocytosis, which are critical functions of macrophages in the body.
