Human metapneumovirus (hMPV) is a paramyxovirus that is a common cause of bronchiolitis and pneumonia in children less than five years of age.
The hMPV fusion (F) glycoprotein is the primary target of neutralizing antibodiesand is thus a critical vaccine antigen.
