Bone marrow stromal cell antigen-1(BST-1) or CD157 is a stromal cell line-derived glycosylphosphatidylinositol-anchored molecule that belongs to the CD38 family.
CD157 was discovered in a bone marrow stromal cell line where it facilitates pre-B-cell growth.BST1 expression is enhanced in bone marrow stromal cell lines derived from patients with rheumatoid arthritis.
The polyclonal B-cell abnormalities in rheumatoid arthritis may be, at least in part, attributed to BST1 overexpression in the stromal cell population.
特徴
This protein carries a polyhistidine tag at the C-terminus.
The protein has a calculated MW of 32.1 kDa.
The protein migrates as 35-45 kDa under reducing (R) condition (SDS-PAGE) due to glycosylation.
