Glycogen synthase kinase-3 (GSK-3) is a pivotal molecule in the development of Alzheimer's disease (AD). GSK-3beta is involved in the formation of paired helical filament (PHF)-tau, which is an integral component of the neurofibrillary tangle (NFT) deposits that disrupt neuronal function, and a marker of neurodegeneration in AD.
特徴
This protein carries a polyhistidine tag at the N-terminus.
The protein has a calculated MW of 48.8 kDa.
The protein migrates as 49-53 kDa under reducing (R) condition (SDS-PAGE) due to glycosylation.
