The ZNF384 Break Apart FISH Probe Kit is designed to detect rearrangements in the human ZNF384 gene located on chromosome band 12p13.31.
In addition to revealing breaks, which can lead to translocation of parts of the gene, inversion, or its fusion to other genes, the probe set can also be used to identify other ZNF384 aberrations such as deletions or amplifications.
Rearrangements and abnormal expression of the ZNF384 gene – also known as NP, CIZ, NMP4, CAGH1, ERDA2, TNRC1 or CAGH1A – with the Ewing's sarcoma gene, EWSR1 on chromosome 22, or with the TAF15 gene on chromosome 17, or with the TCF3 gene on chromosome 19, have been observed in acute leukemia.
