TheNF1/TP53 FISH Probe Kitis designed to detect the human NF1 gene, located on chromosomes band 17q11.2, and the TP53 gene on chromosome band 17p13.1.
Heritable loss of the NF1 gene – also known as WSS, NFNS or VRNF – can cause neurofibromatosis type I, somatic loss or mutations of the gene have been found in AML and various other cancer types.
Deletions or mutations of the TP53 gene – also known asP53, BCC7, LFS1, BMFS5 or TRP53 – occur in a wide range of human hematological and other cancers.
