The RELA Break Apart FISH Probe Kit is designed to detect rearrangements in the human RELA proto-oncogene located on chromosome band 11q13.1.
In addition to revealing breaks, which can lead to translocation of parts of the gene, inversion, or its fusion to other genes, the probe set can also be used to identify other RELA aberrations such as deletions or amplifications.
Rearrangements and altered expression of this gene – also known as p65, CMCU, NFKB3 or AIF3BL3 – have been observed in a number of lymphoid tumors and some solid tissue carcinomas.
