The KMT2A-AFF1 Fusion/Translocation FISH Probe Kit is designed to detect rearrangements involving the human KMT2A and AFF1 genes located on chromosome bands 11q23.3 and 4q21.3, respectively.
Rearrangements between the two genes, the KMT2A gene – also known as HRX, MLL, MLL1, TRX1, ALL-1, CXXC7, HTRX1, MLL1A, WDSTS, MLL/GAS7 or TET1-MLL – and the AFF1 gene – also called AF4, PBM1 or MLLT2, have been observed in acute leukemias and other malignancies.
