The CBFB-MYH11 Fusion/Translocation FISH Probe Kit is designed to detect rearrangements involving the human CBFB and MYH11 genes located on chromosome bands 16q22.1 and 16p13.11, respectively.
Rearrangements between the two genes, the CBFB gene – also known as CBFb or PEBP2B – and the MYH11 gene – also called AAT4, FAA4, SMHC or SMMHC, have been observed in acute myeloid leukemia （AML） and other hematological malignancies.
