The SMAD4/CCP18 FISH Probe Kit is designed to detect the human SMAD4 gene located on chromosome band 18q21.2, along with the number of chromosome 18 copies per cell.
Altered expression of this gene – also known as JIP, DPC4, MADH4 or MYHRS – has been observed in pancreatic cancer, juvenile polyposis syndrome, and hereditary hemorrhagic telangiectasia syndrome.
