The PDCD1/CCP2 FISH Probe Kit is designed to detect the human PDCD1 gene located on chromosome band 2q37.3, along with the number of chromosome 2 copies per cell.
PDCD1 – also known as hSLE1, hPD-l, SLEB2, PD1, PD-1 or CD279 – is highly expressed in renal cell carcinoma, non-small cell lung cancer, ovarian and several other tumor types.
Altered expression or regulation of the gene has also been observed in viral infections, in autoimmune conditions and Alzheimer's disease.
