The CCND2 Break Apart FISH Probe Kit is designed to detect rearrangements in the human CCND2 gene located on chromosome band 12p13.32.
In addition to revealing breaks, which can lead to translocation of parts of the gene, inversion, or its fusion to other genes, the probe set can also be used to identify other CCND2 aberrations such as deletions or amplifications.
Rearrangements and abnormal expression of the CCND2 gene – also known as MPPH3 or KIAK0002 – have been observed in multiple myeloma, T-lineage acute lymphoblastic leukemia (T-ALL), germ cell tumors, sex cord-gonadal stromal tumors, peripheral nerve sheath tumors, and other malignancies.
