The MLLT4 Break Apart FISH Probe Kitis designed to detect rearrangements in the human MLLT4 gene mapping to chromosome band 6q27.
In addition to revealing breaks, which can lead to translocation of parts of the gene, inversion, or its fusion to other genes, the probe set can also be used to identify other MLLT4 aberrations such as deletions or amplifications.
Rearrangements and abnormal expression of the MLLT4 gene – also known as AF6, AFDN, MLL-AF6 or l-afadin - have been observed in acute myeloid leukemia （AML） and other tumor types.
