• The EWSR1-FLI1 Fusion/Translocation FISH Probe Kit is designed to detect rearrangements involving the human EWSR1 and FLI1 genes, located on chromosome bands 22q12.2 and 11q24.3, respectively.
• EWSR1 is also known as EWS, EWS-FLI1 or bK984G1.
• FLI1 is also known as EWSR2, SIC-1 or BDPLT21.
• Rearrangements involving portions of these two genes have been observed in Ewing's and other sarcomas, nervous system and other tumors, and in some congenital and autoimmune conditions.
