The KMT2A-MLLT4 Fusion/Translocation FISH Probe Kit is designed to detect rearrangements involving the human KMT2A and MLLT4 genes located on chromosome bands 11q23.3 and 6q27, respectively.
Rearrangements between the two genes, the KMT2A gene – also known as HRX, MLL, MLL1, TRX1, ALL-1, CXXC7, HTRX1, MLL1A, WDSTS, MLL/GAS7 or TET1-MLL – and the MLLT4 gene – also called AF6 or MLL-AF6, have been observed in acute myeloid leukemia (AML) and other malignancies.
