The KMT2A-MLLT3 Fusion/Translocation FISH Probe Kit is designed to detect rearrangements involving the human KMT2A and MLLT3 genes located on chromosome bands 11q23.3 and 9p21.3, respectively.
Rearrangements between the two genes, the KMT2A gene – also known as HRX, MLL, MLL1, TRX1, ALL-1, CXXC7, HTRX1, MLL1A, WDSTS, MLL/GAS7 or TET1-MLL – and the MLLT3 gene – also called AF9 or YEATS3, have been observed in acute myeloid leukemia (AML) and other malignancies.
