The S100A10/PNOC FISH Probe Kit is designed to detect the human S100A10 gene, located on chromosome band 1q21.3, and the PNOC gene on chromosome band 8p21.1.
The S100A10 gene – also called 42C, P11, p10, GP11, ANX2L, CAL1L, CLP11, Ca[1] or ANX2LG – has been shown to be over-expressed in thyroid, gastric and renal cancers and some lymphomas.
It may also play a role in inherited depressive disorders.
Mutations of the PNOC gene – also called OFQ, N/OFQ, PPNOC or ppN/OFQ – have been associated with various heritable anatomical and developmental abnormalities.
