The PPARG Break Apart FISH Probe Kit is designed to detect rearrangements in the human PPARG gene located on chromosome band 3p25.2.
In addition to revealing breaks, which can lead to translocation of parts of the gene, inversion, or its fusion to other genes, the probe set can also be used to identify other PPARG aberrations such as deletions or amplifications.
Rearrangements and abnormal expression of the PPARG gene – also known as PPARgamma, PPARG2, PPARG1, NR1C3, GLM1 or CIMT1 – have been observed in breast cancer, prostate cancer, colorectal cancer, lung cancer and other solid and hematological malignancies.
