Abnormal expression or rearrangements of the MCL1 gene – also known as mcl1/EAT, bcl2-L-3, TM, Mcl-1, MCL1S, MCL1L, MCL1-ES, EAT or BCL2L3 – have been observed in chronic myelogenous leukemia （CML）, multiple myeloma （MM）, B-cell non-Hodgkin's lymphomas and other malignancies.
