The CDKN2C/CKS1B FISH Probe Kit is designed to detect rearrangements involving the human CDKN2C and CKS1B genes located on chromosome bands 1p32.3 and 1q21.3, respectively.
Abnormalities in CDKN2C – also known as p18, INK4C or p18-INK4C – occur in multiple myeloma and several other malignancies.
Abnormal expression of the CKS1B gene – also named CKS1, ckshs1, PNAS-16 or PNAS-18 – has been observed in multiple cancer types, including breast cancer, lymphomas, myeloma, colon, prostate, lung, kidney and numerous other tumor types.
