The NCOA4-RET Fusion/Translocation FISH Probe Kit is designed to detect rearrangements involving the human NCOA4 and RET genes located on chromosome bands 10q11.23 and 10q11.21, respectively.
Rearrangements between the two genes, the NCOA4 gene – also called ARA70, ELE1, PTC3 or RFG – and the RET gene – also known as PTC, MTC1, HSCR1, MEN2A, MEN2B, RET51, CDHF12, CDHR16 or RET-ELE1 , have been observed in a subtype of papillary thyroid carcinoma (PTC3,4).
