The CCDC6-RET Fusion/Translocation FISH Probe Kit is designed to detect rearrangements involving the human CCDC6 and RET genes located on chromosome bands 10q21.2 and 10q11.21, respectively.
Rearrangements between the two genes, the CCDC6 gene – also called D10S170, H4, PTC, TPC or TST1 – and the RET gene – also known as PTC, MTC1, HSCR1, MEN2A, MEN2B, RET51, CDHF12, CDHR16 or RET-ELE1, have been observed in a subtype of papillary thyroid carcinoma (PTC1).
