The MYCN/CCP2 FISH Probe Kit is designed to detect the human MYCN gene located on chromosome band 2p24.3, along with the number of chromosome 2 copies per cell.
Amplification and abnormal expression of the MYCN gene – also known as NMYC, ODED, MODED, N-myc, bHLHe37 – have been observed in neuroblastoma, medulloblastoma, rhabdomyosarcoma and various other tumor types.
