The USP6 Break Apart FISH Probe Kit is designed to detect rearrangements in the human USP6 gene located on chromosome band 17p13.2.
In addition to revealing breaks, which can lead to translocation of parts of the gene, inversion, or its fusion to other genes, the probe set can also be used to identify other USP6 aberrations such as deletions or amplifications.
Abnormal expression of the USP6 gene – also known as HRP1, TRE2, TRE17, Tre-2, TRESMCR or USP6-short – has been observed in bone cancer and other tumor types.
