The EGFR/CCP7 FISH Probe Kit is designed to detect the human EGFR gene located on chromosome and 7p11.2 along with the number of CCP7 copies per cell.
Mutations in this gene – also known as ERBB, ERRP, HER1, mENA, ERBB1, PIG61 or NISBD2 – are associated with lung cancer.
EGFR is a component of the cytokine storm which contributes to a severe form of Coronavirus Disease 2019 （COVID-19） resulting from infection with severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus-2 （SARS-CoV-2）.
