特徴
- 背景：NEU2 （sialidase 2） is a cytoplasmic sialidase that belongs to the glycohydrolytic enzymes family, that are responsible for removing sialic acid residue from glycoproteins and glycolipids. Human NEU2 degrades glycoproteins and gangliosides via hydrolysis of terminal sialic acids to produce asialo-type molecules. This enzyme is the only mammalian enzyme sturcturally chracterized.
