特徴

• 背景：Interleukin-21 receptor （IL21R）, also known as CD360, novel interleukin receptor （NILR）, is the member of the type I cytokine receptor family or type 4 subfamily. Type 4 subfamily contains 2 fibronectin type-III domains. IL21R is selectively expressed in lymphoid tissues and most highly expressed in thymus and spleen. IL21R transduces the growth promoting signal of IL21, and is important for the proliferation and differentiation of T cells, B cells, and NK cells. IL-21 is produced by CD4+ T cells in response to antigenic stimulation. Its action enhances antigen-specific responses of immune cells. The biological effects of IL-21 include induction of differentiation of T-cells-stimulated B-cells into plasma cells and memory B-cells. It also facilitates the anti-tumor activity of CD8+ T-cells and NK cells.
