特徴

• 背景：FGF-basic is a member of the fibroblast growth factor （FGF） family. FGF family proteins are involved in a variety of biological activities, including embryonic development, cell growth, morphogenesis, tissue repair, tumor growth and invasion. FGF-basic is a non-glycosylated heparin-binding growth factor that is expressed in the brain, pituitary, kidney, retina, bone, testis, adrenal gland liver, monocytes, epithelial cells and endothelial cells. FGF-basic signals through FGFR 1b, 1c, 2c, 3c and 4. It acts as a modifier of endothelial cell migration and proliferation, as well as an angiogenic factor. It acts as a mitogen for a variety of mesoderm- and neuroectoderm-derived cells in vitro, thus is thought to be involved in organogenesis.
